WebJan 28, 2024 · Indian Railways had introduced a new ticket quota under the name Premium Tatkal. These Kota tickets are sold with the Dynamic Pricing Concept. This means that the cost of the ticket will not always be the same. The ticket fare will be 10 to 30 percent of the base fare of the ticket. WebIRCTC has no role to decide any pricing. Pricing is decided by Ministry of Railways. Dynamic pricing should not be seen as something adverse. It should be welcomed in the free market economy. In a democracy like India, there is always a check on exploitation of common man (by way of elections etc). So, dynamic pricing should not be a worry.
